Camshafts will be replaced with new unless not available. In this case the existing camshaft will be thoroughly inspected to determine rebuildability: Once cleaned the lobe height and journal diameter will be measured. If the journal and lobe surface do not show any signs of wear or damage the camshaft will polished and rehardened or remachined if necessary.
