Valves / valve springs
alves will be replaced with new unless not available. In this case each valve will be thoroughly inspected to determine rebuildability: Once cleaned the shaft diameter, overall length, plate diameter and valve stem tip will be carefully inspected before the stem and tip will be polished and the plate cut at the desired angle.
Any irreparable damage like out-of-roundness or bent shafts will be caught while cutting the valve plate edge. Valve springs will be checked for proper tension at installed height and fully compressed height (valve fully open) on a special valve spring scale.
